Through special arrangement with our veterinary team, along with the SPCA facility where our surgeries are performed, DI MEOW is charged the reduced rate of approximately $74 per male, and $114 per female feline.
While these fees are substantially lower than those charged by other, conventional clinics in our area, we realize that they are still not affordable for everyone. When this is the case, families or individuals interested in our assistance are invited to pay on the following sliding scale whatever they can afford. Whatever funds we are able to raise in the community are used to subsidize actual costs. Additional charges may apply in the event of surgical complications (such as pregnancy). The costs of spaying and neutering the stray, or feral (undomesticated) cats on island in order to prevent new litters of homeless animals are met entirely through donations to our program.
Please call as soon as possible if you have a cat in need of spaying or neutering. Before booking a clinic we prefer to have approximately 10 cats on our waiting list, in order to make reserving surgery space and time as cost efficient as possible. We provide gentle, experienced handling and transportation for the trip to and from the SPCA hospital where the veterinary surgeries are performed by caring professionals. One of our trained volunteers will pick up your kitty in the morning, and return him or her the same evening.
